A/Prof Ward is Discipline Leader: Pharmacy Education, School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, University of South Australia.
He continues to practice as a pharmacist and has research interests broadly related to the factors that influence variability in the safety and efficacy of medicines, including biologic medicines.
A/Prof Ward is a member of the TGA Advisory Committee on Medicines Scheduling and the Editorial Board of the Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary and Handbook and for the past two years has led the team conducting literature review on biosimilar medicines on behalf of the Department of Health biosimilar medicine awareness initiative and now for GBMA Education under the Biosimilar Education Grant.
